The Switching System Codes (SSC) Spreadsheet, updated bimonthly, is an Excel spreadsheet that contains SSC Codes, manufacturer name and functional information for the equipment.

These codes are used in conjunction with CLLI Codes to identify the manufacturer and specific type of switching equipment.  This information is applicable to organizations involved with circuit administration, provisioning, design, engineering, as well as personnel having responsibility for planning and/or servicing switching equipment.  These codes apply primarily to organizations with switching operations and network trunking/routing/distribution responsibilities.

The switching system codes are also referred as equipment type (EQPT TYPE) codes within the iconectiv LERG™  Routing Guide or related databases designating the specific manufacturer and type of switching equipment being used.
